Leopard Attacks Zoo Keeper

A leopard attacked a zoo keeper at the zoo in Asheboro, North Carolina, on Monday morning. The leopard, which was being housed in an outdoor enclosure at the time of the attack, lunged at the zoo keeper and began to biting him.

The zoo keeper was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The extent of those injuries is unknown at this time, but officials say that he is expected to survive.

The leopard has been taken out of its enclosure and will be relocated to another zoo.
